First-Choice Raw Brazil Nuts

Nature’s richest selenium-rich seed — nutritional power from the Amazon rainforest

Premium Raw Brazil Nuts from Italia Spezie are the seeds of the Bertholletia excelsa tree, harvested in the lush rainforests of South America and selected from the finest to guarantee whole, fragrant kernels of superior quality. Completely raw and natural, with no processing and no added salt or additives, they retain their extraordinary nutritional profile. A carefully selected product from a controlled supply chain, bringing you all the natural goodness of one of the world’s most precious nuts.

characteristics and properties: Brazil nuts are the most concentrated natural source of selenium of all: just 1-2 nuts a day provide the daily requirement of this essential mineral, which supports thyroid function, the immune system and antioxidant cellular protection. Rich in monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats for cardiovascular wellbeing, as well as magnesium, phosphorus, zinc and copper, vitamin E and thiamine (B1), they offer a unique and complete nutritional profile. Naturally gluten-free, suitable for vegetarian and vegan diets.

how to use: Ready to enjoy raw, straight from the package. The recommended serving is 1-3 nuts per day — approximately 10-20 grams — due to their very high selenium concentration, which limits the optimal amount to consume. Delicious chopped over yogurt, porridge or fresh fruit, or paired with dark chocolate for an indulgent and nutritious combination.

in the kitchen: Brazil nuts add an exotic, buttery touch to any dish. Coarsely chopped, they enrich muesli, homemade granola, energy bars and chocolate desserts. Blended raw, they create a thick and flavorful cream, perfect as a base for vegan sauces or spread on artisan bread. In savory dishes, they pair well with tropical salads, vegetable curries and brown rice dishes.
