Black is the most intense and bold color that can be achieved with natural dyeing herbs. TeaNatura Black Henna is made 100% from Indigofera Tinctoria — the indigo plant — organically cultivated: the same plant used for millennia in Asia to dye fabrics and hair with a deep, long-lasting blue-black, without harmful chemicals.

Indigofera Tinctoria works on the hair cuticle by depositing a blue-black pigment which, combined with the natural base color, produces cool and dark tones. On light brown, dark brown, or brunette hair with few white hairs, the result is a color with cool and deep tones. For optimal coverage of white hair (over 20-30%) and to achieve a more intense black, a double application is recommended: first Red Henna (Lawsonia Inermis) for 10-20 minutes, then Black Henna (Indigofera) for 40-60 minutes. The color continues to develop over the next 24 hours, darkening further. Protect hands with disposable gloves and clothing during application.

Directions for use: Prepare a paste by mixing the powder with warm water (50°C) until a smooth, creamy consistency is achieved. Apply to damp, freshly washed hair starting from the roots, cover with a shower cap and a wool hat. For colored highlights, leave on for about 1 hour; for a more intense color, 2-3 hours. Rinse thoroughly until the water runs clear, then dry with a hairdryer for 10 minutes.
