Extra Long Black Tea - Del Colle

Black tea is a very ancient tea, cultivated for thousands of years in India, China and Japan.
Today, plantations can also be found in Indonesia, the Caucasus, the Americas and East Africa.
It is said that black tea originated in the Wuyi Mountains area of China’s Fujian region. A group of farmers working on the tea is said to have left the fresh leaves in the sun while welcoming a group of soldiers who had suddenly arrived in the village.

To prevent the tea from wilting and being completely ruined, the farmers roasted it with pine leaves, creating the fully oxidized variety we know today.

properties: Black tea contains theophylline and theobromine, substances that, in addition to having a diuretic effect, have stimulating and invigorating properties.
