Durum wheat

The quintessential wheat, used to produce dried pasta.

features and properties: A thin, versatile shape that tells the story of the Marche region's pasta-making tradition. Filini BIO Smooth Die are the result of meticulous, passionate organic production by Girolomoni, bringing the authentic flavour of Italian wheat to your table.

Made with organic durum wheat semolina, they contain 11.5 g of protein and 2.4 g of fibre per 100 g, with a low saturated fat content (0.4 g), for an optimal nutritional balance. The smooth die gives the pasta a smooth, glossy surface, ideal for holding simple, light sauces that easily cling to the strands. Slow drying preserves the nutritional properties and authentic flavour of the wheat, with savoury, mineral and legume notes typical of this cereal's classic character.

directions: Cook the Filini in salted boiling water for about 3 minutes for the perfect al dente texture. Their thin shape and quick cooking time make them ideal for fast recipes suitable for the whole family.

in the kitchen: Perfect for simple, comforting dishes, they pair well with light sauces, broths and traditional soups from the Marche region. Their firm texture also makes them suitable for creative Italian recipes, especially with fresh vegetables and a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil, perhaps accompanied by a good wine from the local tradition.
