How to use washable nursing pads

1. Make sure your nipple is dry before applying the clean pad. If your nipples are irritated, apply a breastfeeding-specific cream first.
2. Place the pad inside the bra cup, as centrally as possible over the nipple. They do not have an adhesive strip like disposable pads: the bra keeps them in place.
3. Change the pads as soon as they feel damp: do not leave wet pads in contact with your skin for too long or in a closed bag.
4. Put used pads in the laundry bag and wash them at 40°C with regular detergent. Avoid fabric softener.

💡 Practical note: washable nursing pads are slightly thicker than disposable ones. If you wear lightweight or close-fitting clothes, you may prefer a bra with lined cups for a more discreet silhouette.
