Whole Wheat Ring Cookies - No Sugar - Cavanna

A classic of Cavanna production in a Wholemeal Zero Sugar version. One of the first biscuits created in the family, in its original recipe.

Our Wholemeal Zero Sugar Rings have truly remarkable sensory qualities: the difference comes from the stone-ground flour in our Mill. The use of coarse flour enhances the flavour, but not only that: it allows us to produce a simple biscuit that is rich in fibre and low in sugars.

For health reasons or dietary choices, it is often rightly important to pay attention to consuming little sugar. That is why we created the Zero Sugar line, which uses maltitol, a natural sweetener derived from barley malt, instead of refined sugar. This results in biscuits with low calories and a low glycaemic index.

We make our rings as in the old days and pack them while still warm. They never come out all the same: sometimes narrower, other times wider; sometimes rounder, other times less so. This happens because they are truly handmade! The recipe is simple and wholesome, just as our grandmother taught us.

Ideal with tea or warm milk at breakfast, also excellent for a snack at teatime.
